Brad Bourg

Bourg Insurance Agency, Inc., Louisiana

Brad Bourg is President of Bourg Insurance Agency, Inc., in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, a company established in 1958. A graduate of Louisiana State University, Bourg has served in many different roles with the Independent Insurance Agents of Louisiana including President in 2011 and Board of Directors from 2000-2008. Additionally, he has served on different Insurance Advisory Boards including Allstate Independent Agents, Northstar/Encompass Agents and Safeco. An ardent LSU supporter, he resides in Baton Rouge with his children.

Bill Bubrig

Bubrig Insurance Agency, Louisiana

Bill Bubrig is Owner and President of Bubrig Insurance Agency, Ltd. in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. He began in the insurance business 26 years ago after graduating from Tulane University with a degree in Economics. He graduated a three-year letterman as a left-handed pitcher for the Tulane baseball team. Bill is Founding Chairman and currently serves as board member and insurance committee chairman of Plaquemines Association of Business and Industry (PABI). He is former chairman of the Plaquemines Parish Chamber of Commerce and former board member of GNO, Inc., a regional economic development organization. Bill is married to wife Gena and has three daughters.

Garrett Griffin

The Griffin Agency, Alabama

Garrett Griffin is owner of The Griffin Agency located in Enterprise, Alabama. Prior to owning his independent agency, he was an agent for Travelers and Alfa Insurance. Garrett is a graduate of the University of Alabama where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine. He is a member of numerous associations including Insurance Industry Executives, Insurance Professionals and Double Positive Insurance Professionals. He is married to wife Amy and has two sons.

Scott Lemon

Lemon-Mohler Insurance Agency, Mississippi and Alabama

Scott Lemon is a third generation owner of the insurance agency founded by his grandfather, Lemon Insurance Agency. He joined the firm after a 14-year career in the textile and light chemical manufacturing industry. Now known as Lemon-Mohler Insurance Agency, the agency has four locations in Mississippi and Alabama. Lemon is an active member of the Independent Insurance Association of Mississippi and has held leadership positions including Vice President, President-Elect and President for the 2011-2012 term. He was appointed by Gov. Haley Barbour to a three-year term on the Mississippi Windstorm Underwriting Association and currently serves as Secretary. He is active in the IIAM Young Agents recruiting and development program. A graduate and ardent supporter of Mississippi State University, he is married and has three daughters.

Martin Myrick

The Myrick Agency, Alabama

For more than 14 years, Martin Myrick has worked hard to equip Baldwin County families with the resources they need to protect their home, business and belongings. The highly-accredited and well-respected Myrick firm provides a range of insurance to protect clients, as well as their investments. The Myrick Agency located in Fairhope, Alabama boasts several valuable accreditations. Martin Myrick is a perennial Centauri Chairman Award Winner, and earned the highest agency award Centauri presents in 2014 and 2015 as Centauri’s Agent of the Year. Martin is also a member of the Fairhope Chamber of Commerce, the Baldwin County Homeowners Association, and the Alabama Independent Agents Association. He earned his college degree from the University of Alabama. Martin and his wife Terri are the parents of one daughter and two sons that keep them busy attending many sporting events. In addition, Martin is an excellent golfer and an ardent Crimson Tide fan.

David Wall

SouthGroup Insurance Services, Mississippi

David Wall is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and is a graduate of Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. Upon graduation from college, Wall began his business career with McRae’s Department Stores in the Operations Division. He was responsible for Insurance/Risk Management, store planning, store construction and renovation, utility management, voice grade communications and its operations center. He entered the retail insurance business in 1982 with Fox Everett. He joined Robinson Julienne & Bailey in 1988, Arthur J. Gallagher in 1998 and SouthGroup Insurance Services in 2005 where his main focus is Aviation, Environmental, Geo-technical Soils Engineering and Personal Insurance. SouthGroup is Mississippi’s largest privately-owned insurance agency with 23 branch locations throughout the state, including the company’s headquarters in Ridgeland. Wall is married and has three daughters and six grandchildren.

Kagen Cooksley

Regency Insurance

Kagen Cooksley has more than nine years of experience in the insurance industry and is the co-founder of Regency Insurance Group in Fort Myers. A native Floridian, Cooksley attended Florida Gulf Coast University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in resort and hospitality management. During his time at FGCU, he worked for world-class hotels learning top-notch customer service skills before he was recruited by a large captive insurance agent. In December 2011, he joined forces with his business partner, Kevin Koelemeyer, and created Regency Insurance Group. Their agency now has 61 employees offering a large variety of insurance products. In his spare time, Kagen enjoys spending time with his wife, Allison, and their 17-month-old son, Carter. He is currently working on his private pilot certificate and enjoys watching Koelemeyer, a semi-professional race car driver, on the track.

Mando Garcia is the co-owner of Garzor Insurance Agency in Central Florida. Mando Garcia’s extensive entrepreneurship experience was combined with his wife, Mariana Zorrilla’s, insurance experience to create a successful insurance business in August 2008. Garzor has grown into a multi-line insurance agency with eight employees and three independent producers serving customers all over the state of Florida in three different languages. Their main office is located in Hunters Creek and they operate a satellite office in the New Lake Nona/Medical City community. Garzor is also a member of FAIA and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Gregory Hemming

Express Insurance & Financial Services, Inc.

Gregory Hemming started Express Insurance & Financial Services in Longwood in 2004. After earning a bachelors degree in business administration with a focus in finance from Stetson University in DeLand, he worked as an IT and business analysis software consultant for Electronic Data Systems. When that company was sold, Hemming took a position as an operations manager for the 11th largest nursery business in the United States. He was later promoted to a national sales manager for large accounts after he successfully revamped the company’s operations doubling the division's revenues and tripling their profitability. Using a focus on personalized service, Hemming has helped to build Express Insurance and Financial Services into a $10M agency which offers a large array of options for residents and business owners outside of Orlando. In his spare time, Hemming likes to read about insurance industry changes and coaches competitive baseball.

Rick Moore

Brown & Brown Insurance

Rick Moore started his career at the Progressive Insurance call center in Cleveland, Ohio. He managed various aspects of service and sales throughout his eight-year career with Progressive. He later started an independent agency from scratch and reached more than $10 million in premium sales with locations in three different states. Moore decided to sell his agency and joined Brown & Brown Insurance which is currently the 7th largest insurance intermediary in the world. At Brown & Brown in Naples, he manages the entire property and casualty operations with more than $30 million in premium volume. He has been married for more than 10 years to his wife Andria, whom he met during his days at Progressive. Brown & Brown is a proud annual head sponsor for the Collier County Hearty Walk and is involved with numerous other charitable organizations.

Ryan Papy

Ryan Papy is the president and founder of Tom Gallagher Insurance in Miami. He has been in the insurance and management arena for more than a decade after getting his start as an agent with Allstate. Gallagher Insurance provides property, commercial, auto and life insurance and a variety of other services to its customers. His agency has seen 32 percent growth during the past 12 months and now has more 15,000 clients. Papy is a ninth generation Floridian who is married with one daughter. He participates annually in the Dolphins Cycling Challenge that benefits the UM Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and supports the Woody Foundation.

Ron Taylor has been in the insurance industry for nearly 20 years. He began his insurance career with South Carolina Farm Bureau and later opened an Allstate agency in Atlanta, GA. In 2005, he returned to South Carolina to serve as an independent agent with ChristianCo in Charleston - whose mission is to operate as a Christ-centered agency with a commitment to honor God in all business practices.

Kim Taylor

Kim Taylor has been in the coastal insurance industry for more than 10 years. After earning a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Clemson University, she worked as an associate landscape architect in Charlotte, NC. She then accepted a position with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools as an educator, teaching at the middle school level and then running the Architectural Drafting program at the high school level. After 10 years of being away from the SC coast, she moved back to Charleston to work with Taylor Agency in the personal lines department and serves as the agency’s Personal Lines Sales and Marketing Manager. Kim was the 2012 recipient of the Travelers Personal Insurance High Achiever Award. She has obtained her CISR, AAI and CIC designations. Taylor Agency currently serves the needs of thousands of personal and business clients in our region via our 5 South Carolina offices located in Charleston, Summerville, Mount Pleasant, Kiawah Island and Orangeburg.

David Kahn

HUB International Southeast

David Kahn has been in the insurance industry for more than 35 years. He is Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer of HUB International Southeast and leader of the personal lines and small business groups for the Carolinas. Prior to his current position, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Roblin Insurance Agency in Massachusetts. Kahn also served as Regional Underwriter Manager for Zurich, and a casualty underwriter at Crum & Forster.  He graduated from Bentley College with a bachelor’s degree in business management and holds a professional designation of Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI).  Kahn has served on insurance agents' advisory boards for the southeast region for USLI, Berkley, Travelers Insurance, Liberty Mutual and Safety Insurance.

Andrew Muller

Mappus Insurance Agency

Andrew Muller is President and Owner of Mappus Insurance Agency, based in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Mappus has been a staple in the local Charleston and Mt. Pleasant community since its founding in 1960, specializing in coastal homeowners and flood insurance. Andrew is very active in the insurance industry and his community. He sits on the board of the Independent Insurance Agents Association of SC (BIG I of SC) where he also chairs the Young Agents Board and participates in the Legislative Conference in DC. Andrew is the co-chair of the American Red Cross Heroes Program (Charleston Chapter) and he sits on the board of the Charleston World Heritage Coalition which is making Charleston a World Heritage Site through UNESCO. Prior to joining and purchasing Mappus, Andrew worked for both local and regional insurance brokers, and served as a claims adjuster with Amica Insurance.

Justin Arnold

Justin Arnold owns Clay Paul Insurance Agency with his twin brother, Matthew. Justin began his career in the homebuilding business before joining the insurance industry. In 2009, he and his brother launched their independent agency which was named after their grandfathers. The pair has grown Clay Paul into a 14-producer agency based in Irving that writes personal and commercial lines business throughout Texas, California, Florida and Louisiana. Justin is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in psychology. He and his wife have two young children and a third on the way. Justin enjoys playing golf and watching his kids play sports.

Kyle Brown

Alpha Omega Insurance Agency

Kyle Brown has been in the insurance industry for 25 years. He spent 14 years as a Farmers agent, before deciding to join an independent agency. In 2005, he started at Alpha Omega Insurance Agency in Plano, an agency his wife, Laurie, had started from scratch in 1991. Kyle and Laurie have developed Alpha Omega into a multi-line agency with 15 producers marketing throughout the state. Kyle graduated from The University of Minnesota with a bachelors degree in business management. He and Laurie have been married for 29 years and have two children, Kevin and Jason. Kevin graduated from The University of North Texas with a degree in financial services and risk management degree and currently works for Alpha Omega. Jason is a senior at Dallas Baptist majoring in Biblical studies and plans on attending seminary at Dallas Theological Seminary.

Craig DeWitt

Texas Classic Insurance Agency

Craig DeWitt is president of Texas Classic Insurance Agency. A serial entrepreneur, he started his first business, a jewelry store, at the age of 18 before getting into the insurance industry as a Farmers agent in 1991. Craig opened Texas Classic, an independent multi-line agency, in 2006. The agency’s main office is in Granbury with satellite offices in Fort Worth and Houston. Craig graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in finance. He remains active in the jewelry business as a wholesale broker. His other passions include traveling and spending time with his 17-year-old daughter and 14 year-old son.

Dan Strack

Laura Strack & Associates

Dan Strack has been in the insurance industry for nearly 30 years. Later, he moved on to Prudential, then Allstate, as a captive agent. He and his wife, Laura, decided to open their independent insurance agency, Laura Strack & Associates, in Arlington in 2000. The agency specializes in home and auto insurance, but they also write commercial and life insurance. Dan and Laura have two sons, Louis and Jacob, who work for the agency. Additionally, there are three other licensed producers who work for the agency. Dan and Laura enjoy rooting for the TCU football team and spending time with their family which now includes four grandchildren.

Ken Kaltwasser

Ken Kaltwasser is the Principal of Southern Group Insurance Agency. They have two locations, one is Pasadena and one in Conroe. He has been in the insurance industry for 37 years. Prior to Southern Group Insurance Agency, he was with Farmers. His wife, Shelia, is the office manager at Southern Group, and their son, Steven, serves as agency manager and principal. Ken and Sheila have been married for nearly 40 years and have three sons. Besides selling insurance, Ken enjoys golfing and working on outdoor projects.

Joel Pond

Rockland Insurance Agency Inc.

Joel Pond is the President of Rockland Insurance Agency, Inc. and is responsible for running all facets of the business and creating continuous growth. He has more than 10 years of experience driving sales growth in the insurance and real estate industries. Prior to forming Rockland Insurance in 2008, Joel was a leasing and sales manager for a commercial real estate developer. Over the course of eight years, he has helped Rockland grow to $11.6 million in premium while leading a team of 18 employees. Joel and his wife of 15 years, Erin, live in Richmond, Texas with their three children and two dogs. When he isn’t busy working, Joel enjoys fishing, hunting, water skiing and mission trips. He graduated with a business degree in management information systems from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Andy Priesman

Greenway Insurance & Risk Management Inc.

Andy Priesman is a native of Houston who grew up in Sugar Land. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and began working for New York Life Insurance Company before making the decision to start a Farmers Insurance agency in early 2005. A couple years later, he established Greenway Insurance & Risk Management Agency, Inc. Today, Greenway is a mid-sized independent firm serving consumers and businesses in Texas, California, Louisiana, and in Florida by the end of 2016. Licensed in 48 states, Greenway focuses on InsureTech and the transition from a traditional broker to a digital agency/broker. Andy resides in Austin with his wife, Elana, and their two daughters. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Asur.io, a new startup focused on insurance for failure to deliver rewards and equity crowdfunding campaigns sold to an individual on different crowdfunding portals.

David Turrentine

Turrentine Insurance Agency

David Turrentine was born and raised in the Dallas area. He attended Western Texas Junior College in Snyder on a golf scholarship in 1988 and later graduated from Angelo State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in finance and accounting. After 10 years of being a PGA Professional at various facilities in West and South Texas, David changed career paths in 2003 and entered the insurance industry as a captive agent with Farmers Insurance Group. During his 11 years with Farmers, he was a seven-time Toppers Club qualifier. In 2014, David decided that there was a better way to serve his clients and began Turrentine Independent Insurance. David now has a prosperous agency with six employees and a focus on personal lines production. He has been married to his wife, Missy, for more than 26 years. The couple lives near the agency in Deer Park with their two sons.
