
Bianca Hoshina
Bianca Hoshina serves as Chief Reinsurance Officer for Centauri Insurance. As a crucial part of the executive team, Hoshina is responsible for the design, negotiation and implementation of tailored internal and external products and solutions providing Centauri with the underwriting capacity to assume and retain risk that supports the overall financial and strategic goals of the company.
As a highly qualified industry veteran with a robust technical background, Hoshina has nearly 20 years’ experience working for large reinsurance companies and consulting on various startups. She started her career in 2002 as a catastrophe modeler at Montpelier Re before moving to the Property Catastrophe Underwriting team at Renaissance Re where she led their workers compensation book of business and was responsible for underwriting property catastrophe risks. In 2011, Hoshina moved to Tokio Millennium as a property casualty underwriter. When Tokio Millennium spun off a new group called Tokio Solution Management, she joined as their reinsurance manager responsible for structuring unique products for third-party capital as well as managing their Cat Bond and ILW portfolio and fronting portfolio of risks.
Hoshina holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in Montreal, Qc., and has also earned her CPCU designation.
